Trésor Bleu Exclusive
Medal origin: France, c. 1946Unique gold vermeil medal featuring relief image of St. Anthony of Padua holding Jesus. St. Anthony is usually depicted holding Jesus, a metaphor of his closeness to Jesus. This medal is signed by French jewelry/designer C. Charl, which dates it to Art Deco period. Date of medal coincides with the year that St. Anthony was assigned the venerable title as Doctor of the Church, like St. Therese of Lisieux, by the Vatican. Saint Anthony is widely known as the patron saint of lost things. Gold vermeil is a thick coating of gold plating from France, created to withstand years of wear (and years of prayer) like this beauty, which has lasted for decades. Pendant is .75 inches in diameter, the size of a penny, not including bale. Choose from 16, 18, or 20 inch gold-filled chain, in traditional rope style or 3mm rectangle shape, 14.5 inches and longer, for a more modern look (see images).
