Saint Rita Argent Necklace
Item № 1026-22MS
Origin: Vendeville, France, c. 1940
Unique and and beautiful pilgrimage medal from Vendeville France of Saint Rita. The front features a relief image of Saint Rita, the reverse the words: Sainte de Impossibles PPN, or, Saint of the Impossible (causes), Pray for Us. Pope Leo XIII canonized Rita on 24 May 1900. At her canonization ceremony she was bestowed the title of Patroness of Impossible Causes, but for most, Rita came to be known to be as the patroness of abused wives and heartbroken women.
The necklace hangs from a 14/20 18 inch gold filled chain, .7 with a vintage vermeil rosary connector and two beads. Trésors blue are tiny pieces of French art and devotion. Also known as "Médailles De Pelerinage" or "Medals of Pilgrimage," these little medals have had voyages from another generation, another life, another country. People of faith still undertake pilgrimages as a way of deepening their religious devotion, seeking miracles, spiritual healing, forgiveness, or for the journey itself. The experience is not solely about reaching the end, it is about what is endured, enjoyed, and learned along the way.
All trésors bleu are pre-packaged for gifting and shipping is Free within the U.S.
