Trésor Bleu Exclusive - Rare
Beautiful gold vermeil "FIX" vintage pendant with French plique-a-jour technique with enamel in windows of the pendant. Perfectly preserved. Plique a jour or "letting in light" is a mid-century French technique used with the finest enamels. This particular pendant has a very dark plique, almost opaque except against the brightest of lights. These six rays of bleu surround Mary's head, with fine detailing and high-quality marks for maker and "FIX" on the jump ring. The reverse is blank. Medal is .72 inches in diameter (15 mm), a classic size. It hangs on a 14/20 gold filled double link chain, your choice of three lengths. Chain made in Italy.
Trésors blue are pieces of French art and devotion. Also known as "Médailles De Pelerinage" or "Medals of Pilgrimage," these little medals have had voyages from another generation, another life, another country. The deep "ultramarine" blue is the sacred color of Mary, representing truth, hope, and faith since 200 AD. People of faith still undertake pilgrimages as a way of deepening their religious devotion, seeking miracles, spiritual healing, forgiveness, or for the journey itself. The experience is not solely about reaching the end, it is about what is endured, enjoyed, and learned along the way.
All trésors bleu are pre-packaged for gifting and shipping is free within the U.S.
