Medal origin:   France, c. 1929

Variation of the Miraculous Medal with image of Mary on the front with beautiful rays of heaven coming from her hands.  Silver alloy with gold plating which has withstood the test of time:  years of wear, years of prayer. The Miraculous Medal (French: Médaille miraculeuse), also known as the Medal of Our Lady of Graces, is a devotional medal, the design of which was originated by Saint Catherine Labouré following her apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rue du Bac, Paris, France.  According to the teaching of the Catholic Church, the use of sacramentals such as this medal prepares people to receive grace and miracles. Pendant is .75 inches tall, .5 inches wide.

This is a rare and unique piece that will stand up to many more decades of prayer and wear.  Gold filled chain: 16, 18 or 20 inches in length, your choice, from drop down menu.
