Trésor Bleu Exclusive

Origin:  Lourdes, France, 1951

Deep bleu, beautifully preserved Lourdes pilgrimage medal from the mid-century.  .76 inches in diameter, not including bale  The front image is a profile of Mary in two shades of vitreous enamel.  Surrounded by a halo of intact marcasites, a French and mid-century accent on many items of jewelry from that era.  Strike on bale shows quality of silver and French maker authenticity.  The medal was procured in Lourdes, the pilgrimage site where St. Bernadette witnessed multiple apparitions of Mary in 1858.  Lourdes, and the water from the spring, is attributed to countless miracles since 1858.

Trésors blue are pieces of French art and devotion.  Also known as "Médailles De Pelerinage" or "Medals of Pilgrimage," these medals have had voyages from another generation, another life, another country.  People of faith still undertake pilgrimages as a way of deepening their religious devotion, seeking miracles, spiritual healing, forgiveness, or for the journey itself.  The experience is not solely about reaching the end, it is about what is endured, enjoyed, and learned along the way.

Choose from three lengths of chain:  16, 18, and 20.

All trésors bleu are pre-packaged for gifting. Free First Class Shipping in the U.S.
