Trésor Bleu Exclusive
Item № B400.104
Origin: France c. 1939
Exquisite, rare vintage gold vermeil pendant with beautiful imagery of St. Christopher carrying Jesus across the river. The reverse is an image of a late 1930s car and 1930s era bi-plane, which commemorates its era, and is a living "timestamp" on the medal. This medal is special, and is memento to wear daily for faith, protection and strength. In French, the words "Regarde St. Christopher," or "Look to St. Christopher," "Et Pars Rassure," which means "and leave reassured" adorn the medal's verso. Since St. Christopher is the patron saint of journeys and travel, this is the perfect gift for a loved one who travels long distances for work or adventure. Medal itself is .35 inches in diameter. Stamping on jump ring and bale shows authenticity, quality of gold, and original French origin.
Trésors blue are tiny pieces of French art and devotion. Also known as "Médailles De Pelerinage" or "Medals of Pilgrimage," these little blue medals have had voyages from another generation, another life, another country. The deep "ultramarine" blue is the sacred color of Mary, representing truth, hope, and faith since 200 AD. People of faith still undertake pilgrimages as a way of deepening their religious devotion, seeking miracles, spiritual healing, forgiveness, or for the journey itself. The experience is not solely about reaching the end, it is about what is endured, enjoyed, and learned along the way. Choose from no chain, or 16, 18, 20 inch gold filled chain.
