Bois Signeur Isaac, Belgium, 1919 - Very Rare
This rustic copper medal of pilgrimage celebrates the Eucharistic Miracle of 1405 at the (now) pilgrimage site at the Abbey. In the Eucharistic miracle at Bois-Seigneur-Isaac, the consecrated Host bled and stained the corporal. On May 3, 1413, the Bishop of Cambrai, Peter d’Ailly, authorized the devotion of the Holy Relic of the miracle along with a solemn procession. The first procession took place in 1414. Pendant hangs from an adjustable silver chain and a connector medal from Lourdes, 1958.
People of faith still undertake pilgrimages as a way of deepening their religious devotion, seeking miracles, spiritual healing, forgiveness, or for the journey itself. The experience is not solely about reaching the end, it is about what is endured, enjoyed, and learned along the way.
All trésors bleu are pre-packaged for gifting and shipping is free (First Class) within the U.S.
