Large, stunning, one-of-a-kind rare 1.2 inch diameter médaille depicts a First Communion scene with Jesus and a child. Jesus carries a chalice and the child has his/her hands in prayer. Stunning guilloché, a mid-century French technique of machine-on-metal design, with intricate details and grays and lavender with etherial pearl-like accents. Medal hangs from a center opening chain which can be adjusted from choker to 28 inches in length. Vintage rosary connector (origin and age unknown) with profile of Mary. Bicone beads finish off this beautiful design. Rare and unique piece that will stand up to many more decades of prayer and wear.
