Bourgogne Mary Guilloche Necklace
Item № 528LGP1
Origin: Lourdes, France, c. 1947
Trésor Bleu Exclusive - Rare
Deep rich tones of burgundy, rose, and lavender, Our Lady Medal comes to life looking at it. Her image is under two shades of rich dark rose vitreous enamel—a light burgundy and an almost silver-rose enamel that outlines and fills her image. The reverse has a perfectly preserved Guilloché etching, enhancing its value with a connected star pattern. The medal measures .9 inches in diameter. The top loop is marked with a French assay punch or stamp mark, indicating at least 800 silver with a gold vermeil wash which has worn well over time. Set on a 1.1 connecting double rope chain, 18 inches in length: see photos for length perspectives.
Trésors blue are tiny pieces of French art and devotion. Also known as "Médailles De Pelerinage" or "Medals of Pilgrimage," these medals have had voyages from another generation, another life, another country. People of faith still undertake pilgrimages as a way of deepening their religious devotion, seeking miracles, spiritual healing, forgiveness, or for the journey itself. The experience is not solely about reaching the end, it is about what is endured, enjoyed, and learned along the way.
All trésors bleu are pre-packaged for gifting.
