Trésor Bleu Exclusive - Rare
Medium French Silver periwinkle pale blue Our Lady Medal. Six-sided, classic deco shape, with Guilloche French engraving. Her image is under two shades of blue vitreous enamel—sky blue and an almost silver-blue enamel that outlines and fills her image. The reverse is blank. It measures ¾ (1.9cms) long, including the ring, by 7/16” (1.1cms) across. .3 silver bead drop. The top loop is marked with a French assay punch or stamp mark, indicating at least 800 silver. Set on a twisting rope, adjustable chain, which means it can be worn as a choker (16 inches or less) all the way up to 22 inches: see photos for length perspectives.
Trésors blue are tiny pieces of French art and devotion. Also known as "Médailles De Pelerinage" or "Medals of Pilgrimage," these little medals have had voyages from another generation, another life, another country. Blue is the sacred color of Mary, representing truth, hope, and faith since 200 AD. People of faith still undertake pilgrimages as a way of deepening their religious devotion, seeking miracles, spiritual healing, forgiveness, or for the journey itself. The experience is not solely about reaching the end, it is about what is endured, enjoyed, and learned along the way.
All trésors bleu are pre-packaged for gifting.
