Trésor Bleu Exclusive
Rare, 99 year old First Communion Medal
Paris, France, 1921, Post World War I
Antique, perfectly-preserved 1.3 inch tall (with bale) 825 sterling silver relief medal from 1921. This piece has a stunning First Communion chalice engraving, cross, lamb, lily, and grape detailing. The back is a custom-engraved "E.F.L., 5-25-921," (May 25, 1921). This medal has its original French strike mark on the bail, consistant in shape/size with French hallmarks. Chain connects with unique .4 inch high (non-vintage) sterling Celtic-inspired Y-connector.
IHS is a Christogram - a combination of letters that represent the holy name "Jesus." Early scribes would abbreviate the sacred names of Jesus by using the first two letters of the name, or the first and last letters, with a line over the letters.
- Sterling silver chain is adjustable 15" to 28" long: Italy.
- Looks beautiful as a choker, layered, or as a longer pendant necklace.
