In stunning detail, this .62 inch diameter antique medal has a relief image of Jesus with chalice on the front with the date "9 Mai 1909" engraved on the surround, with the words Jesus spoke at the Last Supper: "Prenez et mangez, ceci est mon corps," or 'Take and eat; this is my body." On the reverse: "Souvenir de Première Communion," with beautiful grape leave etching around the perimeter. This precious antique communion medal is a work of art: no detail was overlooked. 18k gold (tested) overlays that have worn over time, but still show some color.
