Beautiful Miraculous Medal from WWI France, engraved with recipients name on reverse: "Pierre Deshayes 16 Mai 1914." .9 inches in diameter, with copper Our Lady in relief on front. The 16th of May, 1914 was a Saturday and this medal most likely was given as a Confirmation gift to its recipient. Strikes on bale show French authenticity, its makers mark and its silver quality.
