Trésor Bleu Exclusive
Unique cross with relief image of Madonna and Child in silver, surrounded by arms in turquoise and royal bleu. Beaded surround. The reverse is blank. Small amount visible tarnishing, but will stand up to many more years of prayer, years of wear. This medal is .7 inches in height, and .7 inches in width. The reverse is engraved: "Roma, Marie-Jose Culkins," likely a medal for Communion or Confirmation. It hangs on an 18 inch box link chain, center opening, with two bicone beads and a vintage rosary connector (origin and age not known).
Trésors blue are tiny pieces of history, art and devotion. Also known as "Médailles De Pelerinage" or "Medals of Pilgrimage," these little medals have had voyages from another generation, another life, another country. The deep blue is the sacred color of Mary, representing truth, hope, and faith since 200 AD. People of faith still undertake pilgrimages as a way of deepening their religious devotion, seeking miracles, spiritual healing, forgiveness, or for the journey itself. The experience is not solely about reaching the end, it is about what is endured, enjoyed, and learned along the way.
