Trésor Bleu Exclusive

Origin:  France, c. 1968

Substantial and beautifully preserved Lourdes pendant, .95 inches wide.  Profile image of Mary on the front, in two tones of vitreous enamel:  teal blue and cobalt.  The reverse is (Pope) Paul VI, who became a saint and was canonized only recently, in October 2018.  Silver chain is adjustable:  14 to 22 inches in length, with a lobster clasp.  Strike on bale of pendant shows silver quality (825) and authenticity of the medal.

Trésors blue are tiny pieces of French art and devotion.  Also known as "Médailles De Pelerinage" or "Medals of Pilgrimage," these little medals have had voyages from another generation, another life, another country.  The deep "ultramarine," or Marian blue is the sacred color of Mary, representing truth, hope, and faith since 200 AD.

People of faith still undertake pilgrimages as a way of deepening their religious devotion, seeking miracles, spiritual healing, forgiveness, or for the journey itself.  The experience is not solely about reaching the end, it is about what is endured, enjoyed, and learned along the way.
