1903 Communion Pendant Necklace
Item no. C100.105
Trésor Bleu Exclusive
Medal origin: France, March 29, 1903 (as engraved)
This stunning authentic pre-WW! antique pendant has a perfectly-preserved relief image of Jesus and a child receiving communion on knees. Originally given to a child at first Communion March 29, 1903. This date was a Sunday, and also a rare date in that it was the date of a Solar Eclipse. The medal has original engraving on the reverse, "29 Mars, 1903," or March 29, 1903, with the initials, MCC. A beautiful piece of history. The chain is a sturdy, 925 silver, wheat pattern, 1.1mm thick, with a lobster clasp and is 18 inches long. There is also a vintage link (date unknown, likely 1950s) Lourdes connector piece. An elegant, vintage, understated, timeless piece.
