Beautifully intricate French gold vermeil with image of the angelic image of John the Baptist as a child with a lamb. A lamb is the commonly shown in artwork of Saint John the Baptist, which symbolizes his recognition of Jesus as the Son of God. When John baptized Jesus in the River Jordan he said ‘Behold, the Lamb of God’ (John 1: 36). Beautiful wreath detail work surround. Reverse features relief image of three bells.
