RARE, one-of-a-kind

One of the rarest and most beautiful medals we've come in contact with.  French Sainte Barbe, patron saint of firefighters and those who have dangerous occupations (military, etc).  She was a 3rd century saint, and because of this, very little is known about her.  Similar to St. Christopher, she was removed from the Catholic calendar in 1969, but her feast day is celebrated as December 4.  Santa Barbara, the beautiful city north of Los Angeles, is also named in her honor.  Medal is substantial 1 inch in diameter, in light teal blue tones and gold (blank) vermeil surround.  Pendant hangs from you choice of 16, 18, or 20 inch 14/20 gold filled chains.

Trésors blue are pieces of French ar and devotion.  Also known as "Médailles De Pelerinage" or "Medals of Pilgrimage," these medals have had voyages from another generation, another life, another country.  People of faith still undertake pilgrimages as a way of deepening their religious devotion, seeking miracles, spiritual healing, forgiveness, or for the journey itself.  The experience is not solely about reaching the end, it is about what is endured, enjoyed, and learned along the way.
